Rolling Hills

"Braids and Bows" was a fabulous opportunity for just the girls at Rolling Hills to come together for a great presentation.

We had two presenters one presented how to make a flower bow. It could be used for a variety of decorative uses. The instructor was patient and showed the Students just how to make it. It was very impressive how she noted that if it didn't come out perfect it was okay and not to be frustrated.  She shared...."it's for fun, it's not a competition". This put all the girls at ease right away.

The second presenter spoke a little about personal hygiene. Even explained what that was. The girls then had the opportunity to get their hair braided as she used the Students as models to show various braids. Besides a regular 3 stranded braid she did a fish tail and a five stranded braid. This was very fun for them and they enjoyed the pampering.

What was extra nice is that the presenters were girls themselves. It was great to see mutual respect. After the class they all chatted and were very appreciated of the time that the girl presenters took to come and share something that they didn't know how to do and had fun learning.
