Hello Everyone and Happy Friday,

Our students have been so busy with their homework, math, science and reading that we decided to fit in some fine jewelry making arts and crafts.  Working with beads and selecting from a variety of different colors and shapes brought out the creativity in the children.  Please enjoy the photos below.

Cottonwood Creek

Hello!  Hope everyone is having a great start to the new year!  I apologize for not keeping you as up to date on our activities here at Cottonwood Creek, but I assure you we have begun the year with a ton of outside activities!  The weather has been sooo nice to just leave it to waste!  We have been playing soccer, basketball, dodge ball, hula hooping and even chess/checker games outside!  It has been great!

Keeping active and starting the year off healthy and positive is the way to go!  I even get in on some games to stay true to my New Years resolution!  The kids love that I play dodge ball with them!  We have also been doing some fun coloring and had the best ones go on the wall!  As a reward to the kids, last week I allowed them to pick what to do on our Friday fun day...they decided on a movie and one of the children volunteered to bring the movie for all to watch.  This past week we had "game night" as Friday fun day.  The kids loved it because they had a few options on what they could play.  It's been a great start to the new year and I'm hoping for a great year over all.  Please enjoy the pictures below.

Sand Creek

Hello everyone!

We are so happy and grateful to begin a new year and ready to learn about the winter season...even though we haven't really had a winter up to this point.  We're looking at animals that adapt to this season.  It is very interesting to see how animals in different countries are able to survive during very cold and freezing weather.  The children are learning about animals that hibernate during the winter months and how long they can go without eating or drinking as they go into sleep mode.

The children also learned about Eskimos, people that live in very cold and freezing places like Alaska, Canada, Russia and Greenland.  It's really amazing how they have adapted to the cold and survive in these extreme temperatures.  Now we are anxiously waiting for the month of February to come around...can't wait to decorate the computer lab and celebrate San Valentine's Day!  Hope everybody is enjoying this beautiful day!

Hello Coordinators and Students,

Hope everyone had an excellent and safe Christmas. Can't forget about the new year...Happy New Year to one and all.  So since last year (2013) went by super fast, we are getting ready for the next holiday to come...Valentines day!  Before you know it, February will be here.  Our computer lab is starting to look very pretty with our flowers and our half finished wreaths.  Pictures to follow within the next few weeks showcasing our finished work but we've got a ways to go before then.  My students are really eager to get started...they can't wait to show their parents all the hard work they put into making their Valentines day projects.  Till then, have a great week everyone and have fun making your own arts and crafts projects.

Goshen Village II

Hello and Happy New Year Everyone!

The children celebrated Christmas a couple of weeks ago with cookies and juice to drink...they really enjoyed the Christmas party we had at Goshen Village II.  Now that the holidays are coming to a close, the children are heading back to school and I'm ready to help them with their school work and provide some fun and exciting arts and crafts projects.  Wishing everyone a great week ahead.

Parksdale II

Happy holidays and Happy New Year everyone!

The children are still on Christmas break.  Please enjoy our Christmas arts & crafts (home for the holidays was the theme)...as you can see we did our best to make them.  It doesn't have to be the best looking art project, just as long as the children enjoy making them and they did try their best.  In the end, it's going to get eaten anyway. Have fun making your own.
