Cottonwood Creek

We had a box given to us so we are using it to make a big present.  The children first put white paper to cover the design on the box.  Next the children are going to use finger paint to color the box instead of wrapping paper.  Afterwards we are going to put a bow to finish off their present.

The children then wanted to play dodge ball, not the ordinary game, they added a twist.  The children want to play Snowman Dodge ball.  Instead of using the Dodge ball, we are going to use the leftover paper and make it into wads.  When the game starts they are going to have an equal amount of paper balls.  When you throw the paper balls you must make sure you get your opponent out.  If you do not get them out, the paper will be in their territory.  They can choose to throw it to get the opposite team out or they can keep it to create a snowman.  When the game is over, the losing team has one last chance to try to take the win.  In order to do that, whatever paper balls are leftover as a team you must attempt to make a snowman.

Now using green construction paper the children are going to cut out a Christmas tree. Once they are done they will use markers, color pencils and glitter to decorate them. It is a very fun simple art activity.  Lots of fun!
