Sea Ventures @Lincoln Plaza

In July of 2019, we were hooked on learning at Lincoln Plaza. We dove into the ocean and learned about some marine animals. Some of the animals included starfish, sea turtles, clownfish, sharks, and pufferfish. We read an article about various sea creatures and took notes. We also did an art project featuring some of our favorite sea creatures. After finishing our art projects, everyone had the opportunity to share our their most preferred topic.
At the end of the month, we had the opportunity to watch a documentary on the recent negative changes that are affecting our oceans. The students were excited to learn that by simply changing to a reusable water bottle or recycling the grocery store bags, they can help reduce the amount of plastic in our oceans. Thank you to those of you who were able to be there and hopefully there will be more of you there next time we explore what makes our seas magical.
