Casitas Del Sol

At Casitas Del Sol the students have been doing some cool activities for winter days in January. 

They also focused on remembering the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the accomplishments he made during the civil rights era.  

Parksdale Village II

At Parksdale Village II the after school coordinator did this amazing yet affordable activity that the kids highly enjoyed. Below is a quick description of the activity. 

What better way to enjoy our rainy days inside to build our marshmallow homes?

Today we tried something a little different, we tried building cool stuff with the marshmallows. As you can see it wasn't that difficult to build stuff out of  the marshmallows. It was something very exciting for us to do at first we thought it was impossible. As they began building it was then noticed that it wasn't so difficult. This activity is a great way to practice motor skills. Hope you try this all you need are marshmallows and toothpicks. 

Rancho Lindo

The After School coordinator at Rancho Lindo have been incorporated reading with fun activities. 

Tk-3rd after kids were done with homework I had them listen to a  story called "The View At The Zoo" a read out loud book on Youtube.  After listening to the story I had them do an activity foam animals.

Rancho Lindo

The kids at Rancho Lindo has been trying so new and tasty treats! This subscription box is a cool and creative way to have the kids try something completely new and experience another cultures treats. 

This year every month the kids from the after school program will be trying new treats from different countries.

The subscription box is called Universal Yums. In January we received our 1st box from Germany. I will try  to come up with  something fun  for them do  each month we receive a  box like maps or coloring the country are a few ideas.

Solinas and Washington Plaza

It snowed it the Central Valley!!

Well in 1998 it did but if you were one of the lucky kids who experienced it as me, here are some winter wonderland art that will bring back those amazing memories.

Rancho Lindo

At Rancho Lindo the kids have been able to be very creative by creating helicopters and unicorns! If you ever run out of ideas this is some great activities to do. 

Goshen Village II

Christmas crafts are official over! But it doesn't mean the fun is over. At Goshen Village II the kids have been creating some fantastic water paintings!

Happy New Year's to Everyone! Hope everyone had a safe and fun New Year's. Even though December ended and I know some of you still have your Christmas decorations up...(don't lie) because i'll admit I still do! Guilty, I know.
