Holiday Activities @Villa del Rey

Every year we celebrate holidays here at Villa del Rey with our participants. This year we made decorations for holiday party and there was a few Christmas trees that the children made within the last 15 days for Christmas to open a day at a time and get a treat inside. The results for the decorations came out very well and the participants even made some dogs with holiday clothes on them. It is safe to say that everyone had a great time.

Halloween Activities @VillaDelRey

This month at Villa del Rey, we decided to celebrate Halloween with some arts and crafts. The participants had lots of fun and created some spooky pumpkins. Others decided to color in some of their favorite pictures. We also came to a general consensus that one of the best things about Halloween is the candy. We hope everyone has a safe Halloween! 

Arts 'n' Crafts@Villa del Rey

Recently @Villa del Rey, we decided to create some decorations and stuffed creatures. Our participants made some butterflies, lanterns, and stuffed dogs. They had lots of fun and the results were really spectacular. The participants had a great time and used some teamwork to help one another complete their projects. Board Games and Arts N Crafts Activities @Villa Del Rey

The students came together to create many different types of arts n crafts projects and even had time to play some board games. We started with making puppets, other creations with popsicle sticks, and some pot holders. Not to mention they also made beautiful flower art. Some of the students even played some of the board games available here in the community center and had a blast. As a whole, it was a very productive day and we hope to do it again in the near future.

Halloween is in full motion at Villa Del Rey. The kids are creating some SPOOKY art work. The decoration is so amazing, it defiantly brings the Halloween Spirit alive in the community room. 

August Activities

Transitioning back to school mode has never been easy but the after-school coordinators at Washington Plaza and Villa Del Rey have been doing a great job keeping the kids busy with fun projects. 

Washington Plaza has been busy decorating their computer room to create a fun and welcoming environment for everyone. Below is their decorated computer room.

Sadly summer has come to an end for some students but we can still remember all the fun activities that happen in July. Below is some of the art that was created by the kids last month. 

Last month we painted flower pots, pictures frames, made dream catchers, and puppets for fun games.  We also had movie day with popcorn and soda.
