Goshen Village I
Hello Everyone out in the blog World!
Spring is a joyous season. The world comes to life, the scents of daffodils is extraordinary. The weather is getting warmer and the days are getting longer. The birds start chirping outside nature is becoming reborn in its own way. In spring flowers begin to bloom. The children and I at Goshen Village I created our own unique flowers containing daffodils, tulips, lilies and daisies. We even have a blue jay on our poster because in spring the birds return from the south to sing their beautiful songs. Spring is a symbol of rebirth...I taught the children that spring comes after winter. During spring many animals have babies such as rabbits, cows, birds and ducks. We put beautiful gems on our flowers and I taught the children the different shapes of the gems such as diamonds, squares, and circles. I also wanted to share the following:
Song of Solomon 2:11
For, low the winter is past the rain is over the flowers appear on earth, the time of singing (of birds) is come the cooing of doves is heard in our land.
Shakespeare wrote: "April hath put a spirit of youth in everything. Spring is a wonderful season in which we celebrate birth and new life. Spring is a time for hope and promises and the promises of new beginnings."
I HAD SUCH A JOYOUS TIME WITH THE CHILDREN THEY ALL GOT TO USE THEIR UNIQUE CREATIVE MINDS TO MAKE THEIR FLOWERS. THEY WERE ALL BEAUTIFUL AND DIFFERENT ALL 22 OF THEM.

Goshen Village I
The kids are going to sit down and watch some fun Christmas movies here at Goshen Village I. Drinking delicious hot chocolate and eating some popcorn. It's starting to get to that perfect time where watching movies on a nice winter day will be the only thing these kids will want to do!

Goshen Village I
Well next week I plan on doing a super hero themed project with my kids. With the supplies I ordered I plan on having my kids make Symbols and Emblems of their favorite superhero. If they don't have one, they can choose something else, i.e. a cartoon character, sports team etc. Go Superheros!

Goshen Village I
4 younger girls found and caught a baby lizard (It was in the building). They asked for a cup to put it in and I gave them one. Of course, they put it in there and made holes for it to breath. Also put some leaves in it for food and a little water. They played with it gently and then the tail broke off. I said it will grow back and they asked how? I gave them the example of our finger nails and how they grow back after they have been cut. Amazing!

Goshen Village I
Children like play Jenga because they like knocking it down.
Books: The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein- one of the children liked counting the apples. Another liked the boy and the tree. But didn't like the boy becoming old.
One of the children liked the Zyathura book(read only part of it..) liked adventure part of it.Some of them watched Leo & Stich liked the ride and greeny.
One of the children read the Great Wolf & Woodsman. They liked the wolf in the house and cutting bricks.
Another child read More for for me by Cindy Meltzer Klentez. Here is what this child told me about it:
Sister I want more pushes the bowl I want more. Wants alot more. Crying washed dishes with big sister. Scoops out beans. Jumped out of bed got dressed. More on plate. Wanted more toast. His sister sneaking toast. Then wanting more.
Also I had a couple of children doing the USA flag-floor puzzle. They liked looking for animals on it. They finished putting it together; even if 2 pieces were missing. They liked doing puzzles.
Here are somethings going on in Tulare CA - At Threads of Love Thrift Store - They need volunteers: Mon-to Sat. They are open from 9AM-5PM . You can just volunter all day or 1/2 day. Just a few hours. They need lots of volunteers.
